Greenwich Country Club, Main Club House
The work on the main clubhouse is intended to progress over many phases. The first of these is the renovation of Elmer’s Lounge. The room sits just off of the living room, in the south west corner of this historic structure. The uses for the room range from: quiet reading space, to card events, to cocktail receptions and dinner parties. The bar was in dire need of a renovation and the decor had to address a younger and more active membership. The renovation entailed enlarging the small windows that face the terrace, into large double door openings. These glass doors now open the room to the south light, and the great views of the lawn and the 18th. green. The bar was completely rebuilt with new equipment and lighting.
Next up is a complete renovation of the main living room and dining room.
